Family vacations are a way for parents to create lifelong memories for themselves and their children. Some destinations are better suited for large families. The top five are:
Orlando, Florida
With a nickname such as “The theme park capital of the world,” vacationing families are certainly welcome in Florida. Furthermore, Orlando provides large families with affordable accommodations, a wide-selection of food choices and downtime activities away from the theme parks such as spending time on a sandy beach while the kids splash in the ocean.
Cancun, Mexico
All-inclusive resorts make Cancun a popular choice for large families. Additionally, kid friendly activities are plentiful and include swimming with dolphins, hiking to historical ruins and relaxing on the beach. Cancun also features the world’s second-largest barrier reef, which provides numerous water activities such as snorkeling and scuba diving.
Yellowstone, Wyoming
As one of the finest National Parks located in the world, Yellowstone is the perfect road trip destination. Parents can introduce their children to the amazing wonders that nature can provide. Furthermore, the park features unique characteristics that are created by geothermal activity such as hot springs, naturally occurring geysers and bubbling mud pits.
California
It is a rite of passage for parents to bring their children to Disneyland since the park has more than earned its title of “The happiest place on earth.” In recent years, the world-renowned park has added new attractions to its California Adventure park.
Families visiting California can also visit LEGOLAND, Universal Studios and Knott’s Berry Farm. The state is even more enjoyable during the holidays with the parks going over the top on their Halloween and Christmas decorations.
Hawaii
The Hawaiian Islands are an experience that parents will want to enjoy with their children. Oahu is recommended for parents that want to introduce their children to history along with snorkeling, surfing and the floral aroma of leis. Additionally, Oahu offers hiking for family members who are enthusiastic about the great outdoors while numerous hotels offer spa treatments for vacationers who prefer to relax in luxury.
If parents prefer to introduce their children to a classic island environment, then Kauai is the Hawaiian island that offers this experience. Kauai accommodations often have trails that lead directly to the ocean where families can bring their snorkeling gear and spend a few hours floating on top of the water looking at the fish spectacle below them.
